As I watched the sunrise from Oxer Lookout in Karijini, I noticed the sun hitting some of the small trees almost like a spotlight, across on the other side of the gorge. Had to do a mad scramble to change lenses and capture the light before it changed too much. Karijini, WA, Australia
This is Lower Mclean Falls, in the Catlins region of the NZ South Island. I find waterfalls difficult to shoot and process in general because I don't do them often. This one was no different, I had to actually get into the creek to shoot it properly and the water was bloody cold that day. Which had a detrimental impact on both my patience and ability to think clearly :) McLean Falls, The Catlins, South Island, New Zealand
This was shot at the top of Kalamina Gorge. These prickly spinifex bushes are literally everywhere in the Karijini area. If you run into them while walking through the bush, they do hurt and the spines can break off in your skin and keep pricking you for hours until you get the spines out!
