This is Kermit's Pool almost at the end of Hancock Gorge in Karijini. There were a few sections where I didn't want to risk navigating over the narrow rocks with my camera gear. Actually swimming through the water in the gorge was the safer option lol :) Even though the official track ends at this pool you can actually keep going past this point, but you need abseiling gear to do it safely. There is another pool just after this (Regans Pool) which is named after a SES volunteer who died a few years ago trying to save tourists during a flash flood. As I watched the sunrise from Oxer Lookout in Karijini, I noticed the sun hitting some of the small trees almost like a spotlight, across on the other side of the gorge. Had to do a mad scramble to change lenses and capture the light before it changed too much. Karijini, WA, Australia
This is Lower Mclean Falls, in the Catlins region of the NZ South Island. I find waterfalls difficult to shoot and process in general because I don't do them often. This one was no different, I had to actually get into the creek to shoot it properly and the water was bloody cold that day. Which had a detrimental impact on both my patience and ability to think clearly :) McLean Falls, The Catlins, South Island, New Zealand
