This was one of the many "mini falls" in Kalamina Gorge. I've seen these kind of foam swirls only a couple of times in waterfalls, it always makes for an interesting long exposure. I shot this with a B&W in mind, unlike the lush green waterfalls of NZ, there wasn't much interesting colour to begin with here! Kalamina Gorge, Karijini National Park, WA, Australia
This was shot at the top of Kalamina Gorge. These prickly spinifex bushes are literally everywhere in the Karijini area. If you run into them while walking through the bush, they do hurt and the spines can break off in your skin and keep pricking you for hours until you get the spines out!
